#221: 26/11/11 - 31/12/11 Goodbye 2011 (A little late I know)
So, its been a wee while since I’ve posted about the happenings of life. The last month and a bit have been hectic to say the least. I’m going to blame the lack of blogging on moving house (even though it really only took two solid weeks to pack, move and get most things sorted). Whoever said moving house was one of the most stressful things was not lying by the way, so we were glad to have enlisted the help of Rob’s family especially with all the heavy lifting. I had no idea we had acquired so much stuff in one year.
Anyway, we are almost all sorted now and very well settled in our new home and with the internet reconnected, I now have no excuse with this wee bit of the blogging world I own.
So here is a recap on the rest of 2011…
- We went to the Auckland Art Gallery

- Had a lovely lunch with the Robb family at Umi
- Put up the Christmas tree :)

- Made more food (Nigella’s Chocolate and Pear Pudding, strudels, bangers and mash with caramelized onions - recipes to come)
- Discovered a new cafe - TASCA; thanks Tom!

- Celebrated an anniversary at Bowmans

- Went to a work Christmas do at Da Vinci’s
- Had a Christmas do with the girls

- Had a beach dinner with the girls
- Had romantic date night on Franklin Road

- Had Christmas food and opened epic Christmas presents all of Christmas day
- Got a new stand mixer boxing day :) Yes, this was worthy of it’s own post
- Then made peach cupcakes

- Went out to brunch a handful of times at one of our favourite cafes (Vista)

- Had an awesome family BBQ
- Got treated to a beautiful roast dinner by Tom and Tony

- Before ending the year with my amazing man and co. :)
2011 has been such an eventful year and as good (and at times, not so good) it has been, I am totally looking forward to what 2012 has to offer :)
