The move began… 3-4 hours after waking up. We dreaded it. I think I dreaded it more though, I suggested everything under the sun that we could do instead of packing. Thank goodness Rob agreed to at least having breakfast at Sierra in Greenlane beforehand.

We had aimed to be in the new place by 3rd Jan so you could imagine the stress of having to pack, bubble-wrap, box, label, lift, shift etc. a fully furnished house and then on top of that, have the place cleaned by 7th Jan for the landlords inspection… AND not only do you acquire a lot of stuff in one year, the house also collects a lot of dust and grime in places you didn’t know existed in the course of a year…

Nevermind though, we are now living comfortably again (especially now that the cutlery and utensils have been found!) and we can now comfortably welcome 2012 with open arms.

We spoke about new years resolutions however we also know how hard they are to stick to, so we have loosely mentioned the major things we hope to do/achieve:

• We hope to travel out of NZ at least once this year.
• We hope to save enough money to be halfway closer to buying a home.
• We hope for a new barking addition to the family.
• We hope to pay off loans and other.
• We aim to eat well and exercise more.
• I aim to find something I will love to do career-wise (since I’ve decided radiography is probably not a path I want to continue on)
• To spend more time with family and friends.
• And most importantly, to make the most of life this year because happiness is key :)
