It started off well with the use of our flatmates rotisserie BBQ, he decided we should kick it off with a spit roast and the meat of choice was my favourite; pork! Can you see all the yummy crackling?

We decided to invite a few friends over since there was plenty to go around and ended up making a night of it :)

Then the Saturday, Rob and I headed to V4 and Rotary show at the ASB showgrounds which was a bit of a let down in my opinion considering the cost of getting in, but I still enjoyed my time while I was there. After wards we headed home to help one of our friends move in and then started getting ready for our friends Katie and Simon to come over for a BBQ dinner.

Sunday was spent grabbing bacon and egg mcmuffins and hash browns for breakfast at the Bombays (such a compulsory stop) before heading down to Tauranga for the air show. We met up with one of Rob’s friends and his partner and had a really good time down there :) and then in the evening we headed back to celebrate Rob’s brothers 8th birthday!

On Monday we all headed to the beach where I finally got to put on a bikini! This is a big deal as I could not believe I hadn’t done it all Summer yet. I definitely got my tan on (yes with sunblock on of course) and now I can’t stop admiring my sun-kissed skin (hahaha).

Could not believe how fast this ‘long’ weekend went but so looking forward to the next one - which is this weekend! Bliss :)
